To extend the life of your suit, we recommend that you wash in cold or warm water, never hot, with the suit turned with the inside facing out and you dry on low temperature with all velcro fastened. High drying temperatures will cause more wear on your velcro and striping.
Time tested and proven protective apparel of NOMEX® IIIA resists hazards associated with exposure to flash fires, including intense heat and flame. That’s because NOMEX® IIIA is an inherently flame resistant, high-temperature fiber that won’t melt and drip, burn or support combustion in air. And, this protection is PERMANENT, it cannot be washed out or worn away.
In a flash-fire situation, a matter of seconds can mean the difference between minor burns and life-threating injuries. Nomex® IIIA provides valuable seconds of protection for escape, minimizing the potential for burn injury.
DuPont’s NOMEX® IIIA is the fabric you need at accident scenes, where broken glass, metal fragments, spilled fuel, chemicals, and possible fire routinely pose hazards to rescue personnel. This is why so many rescue crews MANDATE NOMEX® IIIA uniforms.
Nomex IIIA comes in 4.5 ounce (royal, navy, khaki, black, orange, light blue), 6 ounce (royal, red, navy, yellow, black, orange). Our standard suits are 6 ounce.
